Shri Suktam is a beautiful hymn to invoke Goddess Mahalaxmi in the parabrahma adishakti form and pay homage by praising with utmost devotion and unconditional surrender.
The Mahalaxmi form of the Divine Mother is invoked specifically to receive divine blessings enriched with Wealth, Prosperity and Fertility. It is this form of the Goddess which is uniquely distributed into eight (8) subsequent forms to nourish with eight distinct blessings in life, collectively known as Ashta-Laxmi.
The Ashta-Laxmi forms are – Adi-Laxmi, Vidhya-Laxmi, Dhan-Laxmi, Gaj-Laxmi, Santaan-Laxmi, Dhariya-Laxmi, & Dhanya-Laxmi. These eight forms are very pious and powerful. Reciting Ashta-Laxmi Stotram is also a very auspicious process to perform a thorough worship.
It is said one who daily recits Shri Suktam Stotra is always read to face any difficulties in life and depending on their deeds (karma) and boundage through their faith recevies the Divine blessings.
