Self realization is the first step towards Enlightenment. And enlightenment is the first step towards Blissfulness. Furthermore, Blissfulness could lead one toward Liberation (Moksha). Hence, self-realization is the key to Blissfulness. However, if self realization is not fueled with appropriate guided spiritual wisdom then it could to total confusion and decreases Spiritual upliftment.
Self-realization can occur through many different ways in life. Mostly pain and sufferings eventually leads to self-realization. Self-realization is usually a turning point in life filled with self love and a robust connection to The Divine.
The Tri Vidhya system of spirituality leads one to self-realization, enlightenment, blissfulness and most definitely Moksha. But Shri Rudraji says there is no fun in Moksha. According to him, one should always aspire to continue assisting The Divine through unlimited births per the wishes of The Divine.
